Bovvered ‘Bout Bilston is faith in action. We’re going out in our community to show God’s love in a practical way through litter picking, decorating, gardening, cleaning and lots more
Why do we do this? Simply because we are “Bovvered Bout Bilston”. In a world that doesn’t seem to care, we want to be a different voice. We want our town to know that we care and that God cares too. We’re not looking for anything in return. We just want to bless our community and show God’s love in a practical way.
If you, or your community group has a project that needs doing, or you know someone else who does, then gives us a call. We’re always on the look out for opportunities to serve the people of Bilston.
We tend to make those in real need our priority; people who can’t do the job themselves for whatever reason. Maybe they are elderly or a single parent, or disabled. Or maybe it’s a big project for the community and there are not enough people to sort it. Just give us a call to discuss your projects and we’ll do our best to help if we can!
Anyone can get involved in BBB. We tend to run projects a few times a year, so just get in touch if you’re interested.
BBB started off as a Hope 2008 initiative. It has since won 2 awards: A National Association of Neighbourhood Management award and Wolverhampton Homes “Good Neighbour” award. It started off with just teenagers, but has also had many adults get involved more recently.
Over 100 different people have now been involved in volunteering and we have done over 30 different projects and helped 2 local schools, cleared waste land, done over 15 different gardens, painted garages, painted fences, planted flowers and loads more.
